Women's groups not alone
Although the information that surfaced about the Police Department's noninvestigation of rapes has been demoralizing, recent events have sounded a hopeful note (Inquirer, Dec. 7). No longer need women's groups feel that they must fight these battles alone. This time, the work of the Women's Law Project and other groups has been supported by an honest police commissioner, concerned City Council members and vigilant Inquirer reporters. Only this kind of cooperation makes change possible.
