Philadelphia Inquirer Letters to the Editor October 20, 1999 Police and sex crimesI am outraged at the behavior of the police sex crimes unit (Inquirer, Oct. 17-18). The police let down these women who have already suffered. Shame on them for categorizing rapes as "investigation of person." Their actions have cost the city and its citizens dearly, leaving rapists free to further victimize women. As citizens, we should have a greater voice in monitoring the actions of the police.
