A Rape -- Not a 'Lost Child'
In January 1996, Police Officer Sheila Presley left this message at Mary Williams' home in North Philadelphia, advising Williams that her 7-year-old daughter had gotten lost and was with a neighbor. In fact, the girl had been abducted and raped. Pressley served a six-day suspension for "neglect of duty."
