Center City Rapist hates his mother, cats and Philly

Accused Center City Rapist Troy Graves hates cats.

And his mother.

In a page-long stream-of-consciousness rant that authorities believe Graves wrote to the police in Colorado, the ex-Air Force senior airman makes those feelings clear.

The writer first talks about his dog, who helps ease his loneliness "unlike cats."

"Cats just watch me climb in and run and hide without making a sound. useless animals. where dogs have made me turn around and not look back," he wrote.

The letter, received in September right after cops linked sex attacks in Colorado with a rape spree in Center City and murder of Wharton School scholar Shannon Schieber, was made public this week.

He appears to blame his troubles on "catholic schools" and his parents - his "bitch mother and womanizing father" - and talks about how he wants to die.

"I just don't have the courage yet but I'm getting paranoid though," he wrote.

The cat theme comes up again as he discusses his Fort Collins victims.

The first woman "had a useless cat and I took some money," he wrote. The second woman "thought I was her boyfriend the whole time another useless cat."

The third victim was a mother who "said her husband and kid were camping she was surfing the net another useless cat."

Victim number four had "at least two useless cats," the letter said.

He also disrespects Philadelphia.

"I don't miss it," he wrote. "I don't even know how I ended up there. Temple is overrated."

And he makes a vague reference to Schieber, 23, who cops believe Graves murdered in May 1998.

"Someone else was in that 2nd story apt. that night because I didn't kill her," he wrote. "She was very much alive when I left but there's no use arguing that. I suppose another state another time."

Police have linked the unsigned letter to a computer and printer owned by Graves.

"We can't say for sure he wrote it," said Rita Davis, spokeswoman for the Fort Collins Police Department. "But the letter included details that had not been released to the public."

Hundreds of pages of other documents were also released by the DA's office this week, including detailed descriptions of each of his attacks in Fort Collins.

His third victim pleaded with him not to sexually assault her, saying her husband was dying of cancer.

"I tell you what," he allegedly said. "If you give me a b------, I'll leave you alone."
