Adding up the figures

After a confusing day of dueling statistics, the city budget office yesterday released the following estimates of the cost of the Street and Katz wage-tax reductions:

Cost of Street's cuts over four years: $108 million.

Cost of Katz's over four years: $251 million.

Difference: $143 million.

Not included are business-tax cuts both candidates have endorsed worth $53 million over four years.  * Source: city budget office.
