Setting up a folder is fairly easy.
1. Open Windows Explorer (the file manager, not the Internet browser).
2. Make sure Explorer is running full screen, not in a Window.
3. In the left pane, where Explorer lists your drives and folders, click on the line that has the C: in it so that it is highlighted
4. Move your cursor to any white or blank area in the right pane.
5. Click on the right mouse button
6. In the resultant drop-down menu, choose New, then in the next menu, choose folder.
7. You will see a box appear and in it the words, New Folder. Simply start typing the name you want to give the folder.
8. Move your cursor out of the newly created folder. Click anywhere on a blank space on the screen. Don't worry about the fact that the folder appears at the bottom of the list. Next time you call up Explorer, the folder will be in its correct alphabetical order.
Any folder can be created in any other folder the same way. In other words, let's say you named the new folder, Downloads. But then you want a folder for your Norton Utilities upgrade. You open Explorer, double click on the Downlads folder. When it is highlighted on the left, you take your cursor to the right pane and repeat instructions above, naming the new folder Norton Utilities. You will then see that the Download folder, when it shows up in the left pane, has a little plus sign next to it. That means it has a subfolder -- and when you click on Download, the nested subfolder also appears.
