generally refer readers with Mac question to these sites.

or e-mail: jlinton@bellatlantic.net
A reader sent the following suggestions and I pass them on:
One site that is a must for anyone with "newbie" questions is
http://lowendmac.com/, which has scads of information on general issues,
and where excellent listservs are maintained for the various flavors of
recent vintage and discontinued Macintosh products. The gentleman who runs
the lists, or the "listmom," Dan Knight mailto:dknight@reformed.net, is
friendly and polite, and the regulars on the list are always full of useful
suggestions. One can subscribe by emailing mailto:get-qlist@reformed.net.
Digest mode, which is much easier on the modem, can be set by emailing
mailto:digest-qlist@reformed.net
Another option would be checking out http://www.ultimatemac.com/, which is
by far the best list of Apple Macintosh resources on the planet or http://www.Go2Mac.com
