 47. Microsoft Error Reports

By opting to send an error report to Microsoft you are supposedly letting Microsoft in on possible bugs in its programs. Twenty-five years into the computer revolution, and we users are still serving as quality-control personnel for Microsoft and other companies.
Theoretically, too, the error report will get you a response with a solution, if Microsoft has come up with one.
I have sent off a bunch of these reports and never gotten an answer. No one I know of has gotten one either.
Getting an error message is annoying enough. But you don't have to deal with the error report as well.
Turn it off this way:
Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/System. Click on the Advanced tab, then on Error Reporting.
Choose the option that stops error reporting.
You can also opt to send only error reports generated by specific programs.
